We're continuing our mission to make our homes and communities more eco-friendly. That's why we're introducing our retrofit programme to homes on the Isle of Wight!

We held a series of workshops on the Isle of Wight in August, where our dedicated Sustainability team met our local residents, MPs and community members to discuss how changes to homes such as insulation, ventilation and local biodiversity projects will contribute to a greener future and even save residents money on your bills.

Participants were treated to games, crafts, energy advice and support as well as being able to look around a home that is energy efficient with a futuristic virtual tour.

Southern Housing Isle Of Wight Event Resized

“It’s been a pleasure to meet residents on the Isle of Wight and talk to them about how we’re helping make communities more eco- friendly.

"It’s so important we continue to manage our homes with the environment in mind. And residents joining forces with us to do just this is a driving force that will push us to a better, greener future.”

- Jo Butterfield, Sustainability Engagement Lead

The workshops follow our success of achieving a SHIFT Gold Award earlier in the year and we remain on track to have 75% of our homes at least EPC Band C by 2025.
