"We've designed these sessions to be relaxed and friendly.

Everyone learns at their own pace, with plenty of support along the way."

- Eddie Amofah, Fresh Visions Project Officer

The hands-on training takes place over three sessions, covering essential digital skills that help residents stay connected with family and access online services with confidence. In an added boost for learners, everyone who completes the course receives their own device to keep.

The programme has already seen great success at communities like Rogallo Place and Abbeyfields Court. Working alongside partners AbilityNet and Equans and supported by Southern Housing's IT Team who donated 200 devices, the initiative is helping residents embrace the digital world with confidence.

With the digital switchover approaching in January 2027, independent living residents across all locations can access this free support. Sessions are currently running at various communities, with new courses starting regularly.
