Homemade ice cream is typically time consuming, but not with this recipe. Famed by Martha Stewart and BBC Good Food, this recipe gives you all the flavour and none of the hassle.

It requires only three ingredients and like the best family recipes, can be adapted in any way you like. Think Biscoff spread and biscuit pieces, chocolate chips and minced mint leaves, sliced banana and peanut butter. The possibilities are endless.

Check out the video below to find out how to make it.

You’ll need;
• 397g tin condensed milk
• 600ml double cream
• Tsp vanilla extract
• Any extras, I used Oreos

Step 1: Add the double cream, condensed milk and vanilla extract to a bowl, beat with an electric whisk until you get a thick, clotted cream like consistency
Step 2: Fold in any extras, I added chopped Oreos
Step 3: Pour into a freezable container (a loaf tin works well), cover tightly with cling film, and freeze for around eight hours

When you’re ready to serve, allow the ice cream to sit at room temperature for five minutes to soften slightly.
