Damp and mould are most likely to occur in the home during the cold winter months. We know how frustrating this can be, so we’ve prepared some tips that will help you keep the damp and mould at bay.
- Keep your windows open whenever possible
- Use an extractor fan, if you don’t have a kitchen window
- Use lids on pans when cooking to stop steam escaping
- Dry your clothes outside, when the weather permits!
- Use a dehumidifier (this removes excess moisture)
- Keep household heating on a low level for longer periods, if you can
- Wipe windows and windowsills with a dry cloth to remove moisture
- Leave doors through your home open, to allow air to circulate around the property.
