This will assist Southern Housing in monitoring selection decisions to assess whether equality of opportunity is being achieved. Any information collated from the Diversity Monitoring will not be used as part of the selection process and will be treated as strictly confidential.

At Southern Housing, we value differences and the unique perspectives that our shared diversity contributes to our daily lives at work, for both our residents and our colleagues.

You can help us achieve this by providing the information below, so that we can remove any barriers, understand the diversity of our workforce, and make needed changes. It will be treated in the strictest confidence and all disclosed data will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Eligibility *
To be eligible to join us as a Resident Governance member, you must: • Be a Southern Housing resident living in general needs, supported housing, independent living, CQC care home, shared owner, or homeowner (formerly Optivo or Southern Housing Group now known as Southern Housing) • Be aged 18 years or older • Be named on a Southern Housing tenancy as a tenant or be named on a Southern Housing lease (formerly Optivo or Southern Housing Group • Not in breach of your tenancy/ leasehold agreement • Not be an employee of Southern Housing • Have the available time to undertake the role.

Do you consider yourself to have a disability? *
The Equality Act 2010 defines disability as a physical or mental health impairment which has a substantial and long term (12 months or more) adverse effect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day to day activities.
What was your legal sex at birth? *
Do you have children under the age of 18 in full-time education who live with you at least part of the time? *
(This could include biological or adopted children, or stepchildren. It doesn’t include children aged 16-18 years who have a spouse, partner or their own child living in the household).
Do you look after, or give any help or physical support to, anyone? *
This is because they have long-term physical or mental health conditions or illnesses, or problems related to old age? (Do not include paid employment).
