The team supports older people to live independently with varying levels of care and support in our independent living schemes. Achieving the accreditation is recognition of their hard work and expertise and it will ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality service for residents living in our independent living schemes.
Erosh is the national network for older people’s housing and support services. Their accreditation enables housing providers to demonstrate the quality of their service, against nationally recognised standards. They champion good quality housing and help policy formulation, channelling feedback from the sector into government.
Following the assessment, the final report highlighted areas of good practice and made recommendations, which will help to make continuous improvement.
Some of the highlights observed during the assessment noted;
• Regular resident meetings give residents a voice and keep them updated
• Residents had a good rapport with staff
• Strong evidence of supporting diverse residents
• Good partnership working in extra care
• Good examples of safeguarding, particularly around hoarding and self-neglect
• Experienced team with a wealth of knowledge
