Residents at 22 Argyll Street received a visit from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service this week, to talk all things safety!
Community Safety Officer, Penny, joined residents at the care home on the Isle of Wight for a cup of tea and a discussion about fire safety in the home.
Residents were able to chat about how to keep safe in their rooms and around the home. They discussed fire risks and causes and were also able to show Penny where the fire exits were.
Ashley Barrier-Close, Registered Manager at 22 Argyll Street, said: “It’s important that we foster relationships with local services. In doing so, we can provide positive opportunities for our residents to refresh their knowledge and learn more, to ultimately ensure safe living and wellbeing,”
22 Argyll Street is one of Southern Housing’s homes for people with learning disabilities, based in Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
