Michael Border

Isle of Wight resident, Michael, enjoyed an abba-solutely fantastic start to the new year, when took a trip to see the ultimate tribute show to his favourite band.

Michael, a resident at our Ryde care home for people with learning disabilities, was gifted two tickets to ‘Thank you for the Music’, a tribute to Abba, for Christmas. He headed over to the mainland to watch the show last week, accompanied by support worker, Simon.

The pair settled into their hotel and enjoyed a bite to eat, before heading to Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre for a night of disco dancing fun.

They channelled their inner dancing queens as they sang along to all the hits, even getting up to dance in the aisles.

The next day they returned home still dancing, eager to tell everyone about their Abba adventure.
