Southern Housing teamed up with contractor JET Maintenance to create a brand-new pond and seating area which is now home to colourful koi. The serene space also includes log piles to support stag beetles, wildflower areas for Purple Emperor butterflies and nesting boxes for house sparrows and starlings. Goldings lighting contributed to fitting the lighting into the pond and Beaver Pest Control donated a bench and spent their personal time on a Sunday to plant a flower bed into the old pond.
Contract Manager, Paul Camies said: "It’s fantastic to be here for the launch of the new pond area. Residents were feeling down about the previous pond and it’s great to see them lifted by the transformation. A special thanks to JET Maintenance, who are always eager to ensure the best for our residents."

The successful transformation stands as a testament to the dedication of Southern Housing Scheme Officer Kim Wells, Paul Camies, and the team at JET Maintenance, whose empathy and commitment turned a sad situation into a story of community triumph.
